Once you are inside the doors of the Hollies please respect the staff and members who work and attend the centre by not allowing your children to roam freely.
Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Once inside the changing rooms blue over-shoes must be worn over your shoes or shoes taken off, no shoes to be worn on poolside or in the changing room, this is to help keep the poolside and changing area clean.
If you use any nappies or swim nappies please place them in the sanitary bins provided.
Once children are 8 and over they need to use the correct changing rooms for their gender, parents should also not be entering the wrong changing room for their gender even if it is only to help get their child changed.

The children receive a swimming award at the end of each term which indicates their progress throughout the term. The swimming certificates and badges are either based on skills learnt during the term or distance (how far the children can swim using correct technique without stopping). Once they reach the top lengths groups they can work through their bronze, silver, gold and honours challenge awards and bronze, silver, gold life saving awards.
If your child has already received certificates from another swimming school please can you make a note of these so we can continue their development. Click here to see the STA Octopus Badge information.

Unfortunately this will be
Matt's
last week of teaching with us at The Hollies as he now has a full time job. I'm sure you'll join me in thanking Matt for all his excellent teaching and wish him all the best for the future. Jonathan will be taking over Matt's lessons from next week. Jonathan was a top class swimmer reaching top 4 in the national swimming championships. He is also a school teacher, working with children with special educational needs .I'm sure he'll be a great addition to the team.
